Error "that event does not belong to that event store" when saving calendar

Summary:
If I try to create a new calendar and then save an even into it I get the error in the title; if I use the default calendar I get no error but no event is saved either in the calendar.

Steps to Reproduce:
Compile the test project I sent you, watch the logs.

Expected Results:
An event should be saved on the calendar.

Actual Results:
No event is saved and an error is returned.
