How often does this happen? It happens every time When you see this issue, where are the files located that you are using? A USB storage device or SD card What is the make, model, and size (in storage) of the device(s)? TOAHIBA DTB420 2TB What kind of adapter are you using? Direct USB-C connection What filesystem is the device formatted with? APFS Encrypted Description Please describe the issue and what steps we can take to reproduce it: The Files app on my iPad Pro (2nd gen) doesn’t mount my external drive that’s using APFS Encrypted filesystem. I connected it using a direct USB-C to Micro USB cable. It powers up but doesn’t show up in the Files app. The drive mounts without problems on my Mac. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Connect an external APFS Encrypted drive directly to iPad Pro (2nd gen) and open the Files app. EXTECTED RESULT The Files app mounts and shows the drive. ACTUAL RESULT The drive doesn’t show up.
