At WWDC 2010 Xcode 4.0 was demonstrated with what appears to be fantastic support for managing source code repositories with git.

The git support is positively drool-worthy except for the fact that I use Mercurial, another distributed version control system. Although I don't have numbers, Mercurial is very widely used.

I'm filing this to request, plead, beg, offer animal sacrifices if necessary, that Mercurial support be added in Xcode 4, matching as closely as possible the git support.

Hey folks... make this ticket a bit more active

I could not write the master post for this ticket better. I perhaps offer even more then just animal sacrifices! 10 dollars and a picture of my wife! Git is great but Mercurial is just a sweet and easy to use for small projects. Apple, help us or at least provide some API for plugins and we will start a project, possibly at github ;)
