Can't remove Network from Finder Sidebar

In Mojave it does not appear to be possible to remove the Network location from the Finder Sidebar. 1. Open a Finder window. 2. Right click on the Network icon in the Sidebar Locations group. 3. Select "Remove from Sidebar". Result: The action has no effect. Expected result: Network should be removed from the sidebar. Note: Also, I see that there is no Network item listed in the Locations section of Finder > Preferences > Sidebar.
