FaceTime does not allow 3rd party video sources (DAL plugins)

 
3rd party DAL plugins are not allowed as video sources in FaceTime, eg. https://ptpwebcam.org

This precludes use of some high-end cameras for FaceTime, which otherwise work in Zoom/Skype/etc.

This is an issue since at least macOS 10.14.
