CoreNFC library missing in iOS 15.2 on iPod Touch (7 gen)

Launching an app that requires CoreNFC results in crash on iPod Touch (7 gen) devices with iOS 15.2.
This is reproducible with other NFC-enabled apps. 
This used to work normally on iOS 15.1 and earlier.
