-[NSDate timeIntervalSinceDate:] documentation lacking

 
the API documentation for 

-[NSDate timeIntervalSinceDate:]

is lacking. it doesn't specify what happens if the parameter is "nil" - in practice NaN is returned but the documentation is silent on this point.
