Sprite Kit: Ball stuck in a trajectory after a while

While developing an Archanoid/Breaking Brick sample I saw at one point my ball got "stuck" even though I had 

gravity, linearDamping, friction 0
restitution 1

I thought it could be my problem but then I doubled checked it's not

If you play the game long enough (actually if you just wait about a minute), the ball will eventually be stuck in one or the other direction.
